With reports indicating the state jobless rate at yet another record high of 12.5%, makes me think twice about complaining about BART, my shuttle mis-connections, and the worsening parking situation. At least I have a job to commute to, right?
While I shall remain appreciative that I'm not one of the 12.5% Californians that are unemployed, my temporary no complaint policy (**along with the jobless rate news, I am also about to head into a one week vacation, so I'm in an extra great mood) will likely cease after the Thanksgiving holiday, once I head back to work.
With that, I want to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving!! We all have much to be thankful for.

BART seems a lot better now that the strike is over.
I am definitely seeing fewer lazy BART employees standing around and doing nothing.
The stations and trains are still disgustingly filthy and the service is infrequent and trains into SF are too short, but other than that things seem better.

Speaking of shuttle drivers - there are a lot of people who would be glad to have that job and do it "right". I don't know how many times your shuttle goes back and forth, but typically, the "last run" waits for the associated train. Typically, someone who regularly rides the last train would call (from Embarcadero) the driver and let him know you are on the way.
I set up these shuttles, during the dot com boom, and we had to put up with bozo drivers. But you don't!
As far as too-short trains, send in a comment card. They work. The 5:20 AM (Walnut Creek to SFO) used to be 5 cars, now it's 9. All because of cards.
