When your ticket is denied...

If your BART ticket is denied at the turnstile, please don't think that you have the right to cut to the next turnstile over, in front of everyone else, and get your ticket denied yet again because there isn't enough amount left to get you through! You can try ALL the turnstiles and it still will not let you pass.

Please, do us all a favor, go back to the ticket machine and add the appropriate amount, and not frantically cut in front of everyone else lining up because you think it's the machine's fault, and not yours!

Just a tip. Thank you!

How about with a Clipper card? What do you think -- OK to merge over into the next turnstile if you know you have enough $$$ and the reader just didn't like your card?

Good point! I should add my position on that-- BACK OF THE LINE PLEASE! That's actually happened more often than the ticket situation. The gut reaction for most is to go right to the next turnstile but what they don't realize is there are about 15 of us lining up to get through and by swing their computer bags to our faces as they get in position, it's pretty darn inconsiderate even if it's the reader's fault!

I disagree. If I've already waited in line and there is an error with the reader (not just insufficient value on my card/ticket), then I shouldn't have to wait in line again.

@BARTSurfer I understand but what about the rest of the folks already in line?
